Make it 2h proficiency. Its really nice addition but hardly anyone uses it. Now, with collision changes, its even more useful, but its not possible to have both enough 2h wpfs to be competetive against dedicated 2-handers and enough wpfs in polearms to make it useful.

Its a cool concept in the game, which made sense in native because you're proficient with everything.  Right now, when polearmers pick up a greatsword for whatever reason, I think it lowers the speed by 4 or something nutty.  German / Danish in halfsword mode is only 88 speed, which is a shame.  Should keep its 92, to get a close-in edge.  As it is right now, we might as well keep swinging the glaive, right? haha

On a positive note, halfswords do insane pierce damage!

But without 100 effective WPP it does not utilize all of it

PS makes it WAY more than what you lose from not having 100wpp, though.

Although PS affects the normal strikes too...
This game isn't about being skillful as much as its about saying things in general chat that enrage people who then go to murder you but in their rage they make dumb mistakes which gets them killed.

Give 2H some diversity. Using Polearm WPF was unrealistic anyway.

Bump!
Seriously: Halfswording is useless. And you know it. It could be useful in confined places, if it used full WPF.
Long weapons were nerfed anyway due to the latest collision changes. A greatsword user is helpless in corridors or the likes, and severely hindered in small rooms. Halfswording, while making him nowhere nearly as effective as a morningstar-wielder or a shielder, gives him a chance to at least participate in there. Note that a halfsworded greatsword is still considerably worse than a comparable polearm, even at full WPF. Halfswording would, properly implemented, give twohanders a small additional choice in their use of weapons and balance out a recent nerf, without being in any way unbalanced.
So why can't we have it? :?:

Bump.

Some time ago I've seen cmp running around with some sort of two hander in halfswording mode, should that be an indicator that this is being looked into/going to be fixed in some of the upcoming patches?

it would be viable if the secondary mode was based on 2h wpf.
