Excel spreadsheet to calculate weapon damage

Hi

Was making a temporary excel spreadsheet for me to calculate damage with the new patch untill Vargas's Toolkit is updated with the current info.

Figured I would share it with anyone who wanted it. And yes pierce gets better then blunt pretty fast now. It is only in really low damage numbers that blunt wins.

p.s. probably not 100% accurate but would put it between 95%-99%

p.p.s. Also interesting to see that if you have really high armor values like 200 you would probably get one hit by every weapon because the armor reduction factor is above 1

p.p.p.s. Having black armor and 64 armor shield on your back would actually make you take "more"!!! damage on the back then the front

p.p.p.p.s. People without excel can download the file and upload it to their gmail and open it there. Tried it and it works on gmail

The more I try out things in this I see that most weapons will need a rebalance with the current system. With 60+ armored targets cut is getting really really BAD. So bad that stabing with 24 pierce is better then slice with 39 cut But then again maybe that is the goal. But starting to see why 1h pierce is getting so popular

if you saved it as a .csv (comma separated values) i think pretty much any spreadsheet program can open it.  or just share it as a google doc would be easier than relying on 3rd party file site

also, consider making the power strike factor thing into a drop down menu so you dont need to input values, just select weapon type: melee, throwing, bow


would be nice if we now had a spreadsheet to punch in your armor weights + WPF, and it showed how much it was reduced

Well I did try the share thing but that means only one can use it at a time and everyone can delete it. Since I would have to allow modifying it to put in your values

As with the weight + wpf spreadsheet. I would love to add that but I do not know the current math around it. I did some tests and posted those on the forums with throwing and it seemed to be using totally different formulas then it used to. So before we get those formulas we can't really make a spreadsheet.

Starting to think every single cut weapon should get a bonus vs shields if it stays so low damage compared to blunt and pierce.
