Low-res texture pack

This is an attempt to lower the chance of crashes and freezes that some players have experienced after the 0.220 patch. I have basically lowered all textures to use a maximum 512 pixels in each axis, effectively lowering the textures folder from 249mb to 79mb. This seems to have solved it for me the first few rounds I have tested it, but it is too early to say for sure. I see no harm in letting you test it as well though, as it only changes the textures.

Updated for cRPG 0.223 - should work with future versions as well, but won't replace any new textures that get added until I update again.

Install: Just extract Textures folder from the zip into your cRPG folder. Say yes when it asks to overwrite.

All feedback on your results is very welcome!

Agree. My graphic cards require more meats.

Also just a side note, and this is as good of a place as any to post it, though I'll put a post in suggestions as well.

I require a optional more blood mode, like when i hit someone in the head 2 liters of blood spray a good distance, or if I cut someone and they run away they leave a trail of blood that is psychically impossible in real life. And last but not least I need to hear a good death gargle sound from my victims.

Thanks

I greatly appreciate this pack. My computer is pretty decent, but it's been having severe overheating problems when it has to use any of its GPU/CPU problems. I will try it out later tonight.

After i have installed  this pack, I'm quite sure   the details of characters   are better than before  :!: :?: ,( armors-shields colors and shapes  more clear-sharp)    i'm running the game  on lowest settings using dx7 (was doing the same before) ,it's weird.  Anyway thx for this pack, i have to test it in big battles.

At last I got the damned crash again, I guess it was inevitable. It does lower the amount of memory which warband uses though, and helps delay the crashes after reboot. If not perfect results, at least it helps me a little, so was worth the effort  :)

I think you can change the blood in the module file.

The  game seems more "smooth" and "fluid" with low-res texture pack, i don't understand  why  banners on armors-shields are more detailed now than before.
I hope you are  gonna make a low-res texture pack also for the future patches
Keep up the good work!!! 8-)
