Seeking glory for the Kingdom, or in desperation for protection of foreign invaders...men and women flocked into the castle walls, to submit themselves to the will of the Order.

A Kingdom emerged in Calradia
In your quest for vengeance/glory/relief, you found yourself standing in one of the towns of the Kingdom - contemplating your destiny.

A. You want to join the armies of the Kingdom, commanded by the Order of the Rose and the Monarch. - Entry for all who wish for it
B. You want to become a Knight of the Order. - Entry but for the best. There are two ways of accomplishing this.

Upon entry, you must carry the Heraldry of the Monarch...the white and the red rose.
You can have multiple characters in the Kingdom. To join, make a post with ingame name and devision you'de like to join.

Knighthood

Men and Woman with Complete Mastery of the Sword, and the Arts of War.

If a young man or women wants to become a Knight, you start off as a page, and it's in this period you have to show promiss before a Knight will take you as a Squire. This is done by duelling practise with a Knight, or Lady Rosewood herself..or having observed the prowess in combat first hand. If in this period you show talent with a blade, the Knight can take you on as a Squire - your road to Knighthood has begun.
As a squire, you will accompany your knight to battle, protect him...provide him with a horse, weaponry or shields if needed.
After you have attained your gear for battle, your Knight, or the Lady Rosewood will detirmine when you advance to the rank of Knight.

A Knight is expected to follow the Knightly virtues, and Courtley Love

Valour, Justice, Mercy, Charity, Faith, Nobility, Hope, Diligence, Integrity, Humility, Prudence, Resolve

When a Lord has challenged you to mortal combat, should you accept, you are to duel him in fairness.

Required Proficiency
Riding to at least level 2
1 Handed or 2 Handed, as primairy skill
Polearms, as secondairy skill

 

Required Armaments

Squire - Tabard and 1 or 2 handed Sword(usable on horse)
                       You can choose from any heraldric kite or heater shield for protection.
                       As interrim armour before mail, he can use a White Gambeson and Arming Cap

Knight - Heraldric Mail with Surcoat, Great Helm, a Lance (light/normal/heavy), a Knightly/Horseman's Heater Shield, a Dagger and at the very least a Rouncey
Great Helm, will be the last purchase. Wearing it is a sign you've attained Knighthood.
You are allowed to use a one handed Mace instead of a sword as a Knight

A Knight in plate Era, will no longer use a shield. To be appropriate with shield wearing Corrazina and Transitional...it will require the Knightly heater shield or the knightly kite shield. Morningstar can be used for the Knight in that Era

Legions of the Kingdom
Professional troops of the Kingdom, who wear the Heraldry of the Order

Man at Arms
Mounted Heavy Cavalrymen. Who ride to battle accompanying the Knights. They wear the same armour as the Knights, with the exception of the Great Helm. Men at Arms who have shown extraordinairy valour can be Knighted.

Heraldric Mail with Surcoat Required

Infantry
Heavy Infantry, with a one handed weapon of choice..wearing the Heraldric Mail with Surcoat, as the Knights and Men At Arms do. Two Handed users can use but Straight Swords, Shortened Voulge, Maces and Morning Star.

Each carries a spear or warspear with them, for standard formations. Dedicated Polemasters can also choose from Poleaxe, Bec de Corbin, Awlpikes, Glaive, Voulges and Pikes...as long as they have the (War)spear with shield with them. The exception being if they have progressed to the Plate armours..where they discard the shield, and fight with their main weapon

Spear or Warspear Required
Heraldric Mail with Surcoat Required

Infantry and Man at Arms can choose from these helmets, when in Heraldric Mail with Surcoat

Ranged
Ranged Troops consisting of Crossbow men and Longbow (Warbow) Archers. With a one handed melee weapon of choice, they also carry or have access to a Board shield...so they can participate in any Shield walls for sieges or firing exchanges.
They carry any Heraldric Mail, but not the one with surcoat.

Archer's Long(war)bow Required
Heraldric Mail Required. The one with Sleaves and shortest tabard for archer, the one with sleaves and medium length tabard for crossbowmen. Depicted in the picture.

Grey Hunters (Elite Ranged Archers):
To track the kingdom's most fearsome enemies across all the land the kingdom calls upon the grey hunters. The Grey Hunters are the elite ranged corps of archers who sacrifice armor, for superior damage and increased fire rate. Not only are they powerful, but they can move unseen, not being spotted until it is to late.

(Tunic with green cape, Green Hood, Leather boots)
Longbow-Warbow
2 arrow stacks
1h sword or dagger

Auxilia

Drafted or Voluntairy Auxiliary troops, Countrymen with option to become professional soldiers.

Footmen of the Countryside
Recruited and Drafted Peasants to add to the forces of the army, as Light Infantry. Fighting with a weapon of choice, but they are required to have a Round Shield + weapon for shieldwall purposes. If shown skill with their respective weaponry...they could be recruited into the Kingdom's Army.

Woodsmen of the North
Hunters and town militias recruited from the Northern Provinces, they form the ranged support. They are just short of being professional troops, but if they've shown skill with their respective weaponry...they could be recruited into the Kingdom's Army.

Velites
Nomad tribesmen who have settled in this kingdom after years of persecution. They lend their strength to Lady Rosewood in gratitude. Exellent skirmishers, they rain their enemies with throwing spears and harras the enemy troops. Some even go mounted.
