Strategus map needs updating - any volunteers?

Most important: village maps

they need more spawn points set, I'd say at least 10 per village.

Spawn points work with the entry system.
Right now it looks like this:
0:   Attacker
1-9:Reserved for attacker, but currently not used
32: Defender spawn (in village)
10-63: defender spawn (castles, towns)
66->65->64->32 checks in this order if one of the points exists and spawns the construction material storage for the defenders there. the storage for attackers is always one meter behind 0.

So what needs to be done with villages:
a) Set points for attackers (at least 3 - we're not yet sure if they are going to be used, but when they are, we got em ready and just have to enable them)
and b) set more spawns for defenders, at least 10, use 10-63 (like in castles and towns)
if there are entry points that are there set wrongly it will still make you spawn there, so it's important to delete unnecessary spawn points. 0 and 32 are still important for crpg battle gamemode. 

Anyone up for doing all/half/some?

Edit: while we are at it, we could possibly use a dedicated strategus map fixer to join the dev team. Needs basic knowledge of the map editor and a lot of free time and strong nerves :)

edit 2:
so this is what you need to do:
1) pick a number of maps and announce you're working on them. don't be greedy :)
2) open it in the map editor
3) put attacker spawns. start from 0 and place further attacker spawns nearby, with increasing number while going outwards (see screen). 9 is the upper limit.
4) put defender spawns. start from 10 and go upward, 63 is the upper limit. make sure that they are not too close to huts and other obstacles, that will just be annoying later.
5) make 100% sure that no spawns are outside the map borders.
6) while you are at it, check for other things to fix :)

i'd also apply for the strat map fixer job  :wink: . i'm using the editor for some time now and already helped to fix a siegemap for mylet. (wasn't much to do, but nevertheless :) )

I can help, just let me know what to do. I've done a few maps on the old Custom Settlements mod and some other scene work. As far as I'm concerned, fixing up villages and cities or any other scene work is enjoyable. What takes a lot of patience and strong nerves is doing AI mesh, so please don't add captain mode into Strategus and I'll be happy to help.

Since there are a lot of maps needed to be fixed I can probably do some of them. Just tell me which and I'm on it.
This game isn't about being skillful as much as its about saying things in general chat that enrage people who then go to murder you but in their rage they make dumb mistakes which gets them killed.

edit: this screen is just a VERY rough how-to sheet. You will probably be able to do it better when you see it in person. Also, it's up to you how many defender places to set, but make it at least 10. If you find enough useful places, you can also go up to 60 (I doubt that, though :P)
